The Mitchell Rail Table

The Mitchell Rail is a trestle table with real weight to it: at each end, twin square posts rise from a wide beveled foot, and a heavy rail runs the length of the table between them.

Because the base sits in from the ends, the corners stay clear for chairs and a bench slides in easily along either side. The clean, squared-off lines feel modern, while the heft keeps it grounded in the farmhouse tradition.
